Let’s start at the beginning…

I was first introduced to yoga in 2005, when my cousin dragged me to a drop-in class in Honolulu. Since my first class, I have been a dedicated practitioner learning from numerous lineages of yoga, across the world. In 2016, I received my 200hr certification at Laughing Lotus NY. Shortly after, I was certified by Liberation Prison Yoga to teach trauma-conscious yoga and meditation practice for incarcerated adults, going on to teach at Riker’s Island and Manhattan Detention Complex in NYC. During this time, I joined the Board of Directors at Liberation Prison Yoga where we expanded training programs, annual donor giving, and operational infrastructure. I also apprenticed with Lineage Project, an organization focused on bringing movement and mindfulness to incarcerated and at-risk youth.

I have also completed my 200hr hatha yoga certification at Katonah Yoga NY and my 300hr certification with Susanna Barkataki and Ignite Yoga and Wellness Institute.

I currently sit on the Board for International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination (ICAAD) utilizing my skills in development to impact international human rights law and disrupt systemic discrimination. I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelors in International Relations.

Why yoga…

I am passionate about yoga and meditation and believe they are tools to help us heal and thrive, one-on-one and in community. This means creating spaces that are welcoming to everyone. This means training teachers to heighten their emotional intelligence and to connect with aloha to share and spread self-healing. This also means teaching in diverse and inclusive communities and working with Native people.

My journey has allowed me to share my practice with a wide range of students from adults and youth in NYC jails to youth on Native American Reservations to working with local youth, studios and resorts in Hawaii. All of this has been made possible through the sacred practice of yoga and meditation.

In my class…

You will find a space intentionally designed to be accessible for everyone with a focus for BIPOC and those amplifying BIPOC stories, teachings, and voices.

If you’re in Hawaii, come experience a group class or private session. Experience the magic of Hawaiian culture with yoga movement and meditation.

Mahalo for visiting my page, see you on your mat!
